Haileybury students continue to earn high recognition and praise at the Premier’s VCE Awards.

NEWS 2 July 2025

The 2024 Premier’s VCE Awards have seen 16 Haileybury students recognised for achieving excellence in a range of subjects – from English and Australian History to Legal Studies, Sociology, Chinese and VCE VET Hospitality.

The Awards recognise top-performing students from across the state who excelled in their VCE studies during 2024. They also pay tribute to the principals, teachers and to the students’ families who play a key role in supporting the award-winning students during the course of their VCE studies.

The Awards were presented on Wednesday, 2 July during a ceremony at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

“Haileybury has a long and much-valued tradition of achieving remarkable academic results,” says Haileybury CEO | Principal, Derek Scott.

“Each year, our VCE students demonstrate commitment, dedication and passion and they are supported by hard-working and brilliant teachers who are focused on helping each student to realise their full potential.

“Haileybury’s philosophy is that ‘every student matters every day’ and this approach to learning is embedded in every classroom within our school. Along with their own hard work, this helps our students to achieve the kind of outstanding results we are celebrating today, year after year.

“The entire Haileybury community is proud of each of the recipients of the 2024 Premier’s VCE Awards. They demonstrate the many opportunities that Haileybury offers. I look forward to following the progress of these students as they continue to make their mark in the world beyond our school.

“I hope they will also inspire our current and future VCE students to work hard and to aim high while they are at Haileybury.”
